Animals, arrivals and NYC law

How do I check if an animal is in stock?

Stock changes fast, so check before you make the trip. First, call the store, or send a quick question from the Ask about an animal page. Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll let you know what’s in.

What’s on the new arrivals board?

Our new arrivals board shows the animals and corals that just came in. We update it ourselves, and each card shows when it was last updated. Still, call to confirm before you visit.

Want to watch? We go live on Instagram when we have a fish delivery, and you can come in and hand-pick your fish right out of the box.

Do you sell saltwater fish and corals?

Yes. Whether you keep saltwater or freshwater fish, we carry both. We also hand-pick selected corals. See our reef and saltwater page for more.

Which animals can a store sell in New York City?

Feeders and habitat help at our exotic pet store

What feeders do you carry?

We carry live crickets, dubia roaches, mealworms, superworms, waxworms and earthworms. There are frozen feeders for snakes and reptiles too, plus frozen food for fish. Stock changes, so call for today’s list, or see our feeders page.

Can you help me set up a reptile habitat?

Yes. Come build your reptile’s new habitat with us. We also carry everything from bulbs to soil to the right size enclosure. Bring your questions or a photo of your current setup, and we’ll help you pick what fits your animal. For more, see our reptiles page.

Do reptiles carry Salmonella?

They can. Reptiles and amphibians can carry Salmonella, so wash your hands after you handle them or anything in their habitat (CDC).
